Shadowrocket Download
and App Store Purchase Guide

Download on the App Store

A paid app with a one-time purchase, available only on the App Store. Check the storefront region and verify the official listing before you buy. After installation, use your existing subscription or server details to configure connections.

The button opens the product page in a new tab. Check the App Store listing for the current price and purchase eligibility.

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • US price: $2.99, one-time purchase; check the App Store listing
  • For iPhone and iPad; check the App Store listing for purchase eligibility

Storefront and account region

Shadowrocket is not available in the mainland China App Store. The App Store storefront is determined by the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases—not your device's display language or your current location. If you can't find Shadowrocket, check your account region first, then see whether the app is available in that storefront. There's no need to keep trying different search terms.

The product link on this page uses the US storefront. After you open it, the App Store may show the storefront associated with your current account or display a region notice. The region in the URL does not confirm your account's storefront. If you see a message such as “Not available in your region,” read the prompt and confirm which storefront you're viewing before continuing.

Verify the app

Developer, official icon, and app ID

Check all three details together, not just the name in search results. Shadowrocket is the product's name; verify its identity using the details below.

Official Shadowrocket icon: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background

Check the developer, then the product URL

Open the App Store product page and check that the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. A matching or similar name or icon in search results is not enough to confirm an app's identity. Open the product page to verify it; don't pay based on a quick glance at the search results.

Next, compare the official icon: a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the icon shown on this page. The icon can help identify the app, but it does not replace checking the developer. If the name looks familiar but the icon details or developer don't match, stop and verify the product again using the App Store link on this page.

Finally, check the app ID in the product URL. Shadowrocket's app ID is 932747118, shown as id932747118 at the end of the address. The storefront may affect the displayed currency and availability, but the app's identity should still match. Before paying, confirm that the name, developer, icon, and app ID all refer to the same product.

Screenshots show where things are; they don't verify the App Store listing

The two screenshots beside this text are official app screenshots uploaded to the App Store by the developer. Home shows the connection controls, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and server section; Add Server shows the server fields. Use them to recognize the screen layout—not as proof that a service is configured after installation or as a source of connection details for your own setup.

App updates, device size, or your current configuration may change the layout or visible content. If something looks different, verify the app in the App Store and follow the English labels shown on your device. Don't choose a different app with the same name just because a button has moved.

iPhone

Purchase, installation, and first launch

Confirm your purchase on the product page

On your iPhone, open the App Store product link on this page. Verify the listing, then check compatibility, the current price, and the Apple ID used for payment. Check the App Store listing for system requirements; don't assume your device meets them just because the app is available on another device. Once you've confirmed the details, follow the system purchase prompts and wait for the app to finish installing.

If the product page shows a cloud button or Open, check whether you've already purchased or installed the app. Purchase status is tied to the account currently used for Media & Purchases, which may differ from the account you remember using on another device. If you're not sure which account is signed in, check your purchase history before assuming you need to buy the app again.

Understand the system permission on first connection

After opening the app for the first time, review the Home screen, then add your own subscription or server details. When you first enable a connection, the system may ask to add a VPN configuration and confirm with your device passcode or biometric authentication. This permission allows the app to create the relevant network configuration; it doesn't mean the purchase is incomplete or that server details have been added automatically.

If you haven't prepared your configuration yet, you can explore the interface and settings without turning on the connection. When you're ready, select a server, check Global Routing, and test the connection. See the setup tutorial for the next steps. If the expected permission prompt doesn't appear, check existing VPN configurations and device restrictions rather than assuming every first-connection issue is a purchase problem.

iPad

Purchase eligibility across devices on the same account

After buying on iPhone, check Purchased on your iPad

One purchase with the same Apple ID can be used on iPhone and iPad. On your iPad, open the App Store account and check Purchased. Find Shadowrocket and download it again. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. “Same account” means the Apple ID used for the App Store purchase; a device name or appearance setting doesn't tell you which account was used.

An iPad's larger screen may show content differently from an iPhone, but use the labels in the app—such as Home, Config, and Settings—to find features. The screenshots on this page illustrate the main screens; every element doesn't have to appear in the same pixel position on iPad. After installation, check the configuration on that device. An app purchase does not mean server details have synced.

Check the Apple ID used for the original purchase

New device or reinstall: restore from Purchased

Restoring the app purchase and restoring connection settings are separate tasks. Find the app first, then check your own subscription and server details.

Steps to restore a previous purchase

  1. Open the App Store on your new device, go to your account, and confirm you're signed in with the Apple ID used to buy Shadowrocket.
  2. Go to Purchased and search for Shadowrocket. On some system versions, purchase-related options may appear under a section such as Apps; follow the labels on your device.
  3. Check the developer and official icon, then tap the redownload button and wait for installation to finish. If your purchase is eligible for restoration, you won't need to pay for the app again.
  4. After opening the app, check your existing configuration. If it wasn't restored, import your own subscription or server details, then check Global Routing and test the connection.

If the App Store still shows a price, don't pay again right away

Check the purchase history for the account you're currently using. Consider whether you may have made the original purchase with another Apple ID of your own. Seeing the app on an old device doesn't mean the current App Store account has the purchase. If it isn't in Purchased, verify the account and order status before following the App Store prompts. Check the listing for the specific restoration terms.

Family Sharing eligibility depends on the App Store listing and your account settings. A purchase shown on someone else's device does not prove that the current account owns it. Don't restore a different app based only on a matching name. As with a new purchase, verify the developer, icon, and app ID before restoring.

After restoring the app, check your connection details

Your App Store purchase history confirms eligibility to get the app; it does not store server passwords, subscription links, or configuration files. Keep your configuration details somewhere safe before changing devices. If you need to import a subscription again, get its link from your service provider. Don't share your full subscription link, password, or QR code when troubleshooting purchase issues.

After restoring, check that your server list is complete, then verify the selected server and Global Routing. If the app opens normally but the connection fails, troubleshoot the configuration and connection rather than repeating the purchase restoration steps. For details, see the first launch, import, and connection testing sections of the complete manual.

Costs

The app purchase and service fees are separate

Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app sold as a one-time purchase, with no monthly app usage fee. The US price reference is $2.99; other storefronts display local currency. Check the current App Store product page and final purchase confirmation for the actual price, displayed taxes, and payment amount. The reference price in US dollars is not converted here into a fixed amount in another currency.

Before paying, check the app name, developer, storefront region, currency, and current purchase account. If the displayed amount differs from what you expected, confirm which storefront you're viewing before proceeding. App updates are provided through the App Store; check your device's App Store for update settings and available updates. No other source is needed to get the app.

Shadowrocket download and purchase FAQs

First distinguish getting the app, restoring a purchase, and configuring the app, then follow the relevant steps.

Can't find Shadowrocket in the App Store? What to check first

First, check the country or region for your Apple ID. Shadowrocket is not available in the mainland China App Store. Your device language and current location do not determine your account's store region. Check under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region, then open the App Store product page linked here to check availability in your current storefront.

The product page opens, but you can't complete the purchase or download. What should you do?

Check the App Store prompts for your account region, payment details, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. If you need to resolve an account or payment issue, do so in the App Store first. Keep the exact error message and avoid repeated payment attempts. Check the App Store for your purchase history and order status.

Do you have to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

Use the Apple ID that made the original purchase. In the App Store, go to Account → Purchased, find Shadowrocket, and download it again. If your purchase is eligible for restoration, you won't need to pay for the app again. Check the App Store listing for the specific restoration terms. Restoring the app does not necessarily restore server details or configuration from your previous device.

If you bought Shadowrocket on iPhone, can you install it on iPad?

On your iPad, use the same Apple ID to find Shadowrocket in the App Store's Purchased section. A single purchase with the same Apple ID can be used on iPhone and iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. After installation, check your own subscription, server details, and configuration.

Where can you get Shadowrocket for Mac or Apple TV?

Check and download it from the same App Store product page. The listing's Compatibility section includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the App Store listing for system requirements, device compatibility, and whether the purchase is universal; don't assume eligibility on other devices based only on an iPhone purchase.

The app is in English. How do you follow the manual?

Use the English labels shown in the app: Home displays servers and connection controls, Add Server lets you add a server, Config is for managing configurations, and Settings contains app settings. This manual keeps the original English labels and explains what each step does. The two official screenshots on this page can also help you find the right screen.
